It’s been hot. Way too fucking hot! Yes, I know other areas are way hotter but I live in the Northwest where “hot” is in the 70s. It’s been in the upper 80s, which makes my apartment somewhere in the neighborhood of super nova. It sucks.

I was hoping to have an air conditioner today for my mom’s visit but, of course, being summer there is no such device in existence in any store, anywhere, whatsoever. “Air conditioner? What is this air conditioner that you speak of?”

Oh, I did find heaters though… go figure.

Anyways, I resorted to purchasing an air conditioner online which will arrive between the 31st of this month and the 8th of August. With my luck it will start snowing that week.

My mom was super kind and helped me pay for the A/C. She paid more than half of it. I only paid $50 of it. Ain’t she sweet? Luckily I don’t need one of those $400 air conditioners. I have a tiny studio apartment. The A/C that I ordered should be more than sufficient. It cost about $117 after shipping/handling and tax.

I’m looking forward to its delivery. I’ll be inviting my mom over to bask in its glory when it does get here. All hail the glorious A/C… the bringer of cool breezes.

Oh, I also got two new DVDs today: The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, and The Producers which both my mom and I both loved, and laughed through the entire thing.
