Now, doesn’t that just tell you everything you ever wanted to know about me? Hmm?
Anyways, so, work is going okay. Some days are incredibly boring and others are physically stressful… and either way is way better than taking calls in a call center or flagging.
Today all I did was put putty in nail holes. I did this all day long. It was very tedious. I’ve done so many things in so many of the apartment units that I can’t remember what I did where. I end up going about my day and then realizing that I forgot to do such-and-such in this unit or that, because they all look alike. That’s no fun when you think you are almost done with something and then find that you have to do tons more. Ugh!
The last couple of days haven’t been quite as bad as Monday though. I decided to take my little MP3 Player/Radio to work and listen to the radio all day long. It makes the time pass a bit more quickly. Plus it blocks out some of the racket from sawing and hammering that’s going on in other parts of the apartment building. Plus, it means I don’t have to listen to the obnoxious Mexican music. I hate that shit! Every Mexican I have ever met has listened to the same type of music. I don’t know what genre it is but I can’t stand it.
Anyways…
Luis told me that I’ll be doing something else tomorrow. I didn’t quite catch what. His accent is too thick for me and I have a hard time with accents as it is. He’s pretty patient with me having to say “What?” all the time, though. ¿Que?
