Birthday Party With My Friends

Yesterday I had my small birthday party with a few friends. It was hosted at my friend Sara’s house. My friends, Danielle, Neal, Jenn, and my cousin, Bart showed up.
We played a bit of 20th Century Trivial Pursuit, which I SUCK at. It’s so sad that it was my idea to play it too. What was I thinking?
Bart gave me X-Men: The Last Stand, and a small Optimus Prime toy, with the promise of another, larger Optimus Prime on the way. Sara gave me Over the Hedge which came with a sort of supplemental DVD-ROM of “Hammy” the squirrel.
Sara also baked up some cherry and some chocolate cupcakes, which I had the honor of frosting and sprinkling. They were good. Come to think of it, I have some left-over ones in my kitchen. *drools* In addition to the cupcakes, Sara arranged for some pizza from the place where her cousin works. He was able to give us a 50% discount, which was nice.
I had fun, and I think everyone else had fun as well. I think people got a little bored during the Trivial Pursuit game, but otherwise had fun. The party was a little brief, but that’s okay.
Unfortunately, a few people couldn’t make it: Raina & Annette, Kevin, and Miya & Chaz. I know Raina and Annette couldn’t come cause some thing came up which prevented their appearance. Kevin was busy and Miya and Chaz… well, I guess they just hate me. Nah, they said that they had to work, but I could have sworn they would be off work early enough to try and make it for part of the party at least. Hmm… perhaps I was mistaken.
Anyways… it was good times. Next week I have a party with my family. Is it weird that I celebrate my birthday three times? Once with my mom, once with my friends, and once with the family (including my mom).
