To Mac, or not to Mac…? That is the question.

After much internal debate and seemingly endless questioning of friends for their opinions, I’ve come to the conclusion that I will be getting a MacBook soon. I need a new computer but wasn’t sure if I could afford a Mac, though I wanted one quite badly. I figured, incorrectly, that a Windows laptop would be cheaper. Well, though on the surface they seem less expensive, in order to get one that would be comparable to the Mac that I want I’d have to spend even more than I would on the Mac.
And Macs, unlike Windows PCs, come loaded with most software that anyone would need. The final selling point for me, in getting a Mac, was that you can purchase a program called Parallels which allows you to run an alternate OS within Mac OS X. By doing that I could get my fill of Windows Vista as well.
I still have to save a bit more money but my tax return has moved me considerably further toward my goal. Now I have to decide between the high-end MacBook or the low-end MacBook Pro… there’s a $500 difference in price.
